Raising Awareness

Shining a Light on Cardiac Complications in Children

The Silent Killer: Understanding and Preventing Pediatric Cardiac Issues

Why Awareness Matters

Cardiac complications in children are often called a ‘silent killer’ because many symptoms go unnoticed until it’s too late. By sharing knowledge and encouraging early action, we can help families recognize warning signs, seek timely treatment, and give children the best chance at a healthy future.

Hayden’s Story: A Personal Connection

Hayden Odell Davis was a loving and courageous boy whose heart condition shaped his journey. Born with congenital heart defects, Hayden underwent surgeries and treatments that ultimately led to a heart transplant in 2023. Though his new heart was perfect, his body didn’t respond as we’d hoped, and we lost him just before his 9th birthday.

Hayden’s legacy inspires us to raise awareness so other families can recognize the signs early and take action. Through his story, we hope to save lives and honor his memory.

Call to Action

Cardiac complications in children don’t have to remain a “silent killer.” Together, we can create change, raise awareness, and save lives. Share this page, support our mission, and help us honor Hayden’s legacy of love and courage.

Let’s fight for their hearts.
